Navking Route 66 is a cooperation of two companies, Navking and Route 66.

Route 66 is officially named Route 66 Geographic Information Systems B.V., founded in 1992, and is specialized in making software for navigation systems, used in mobile phones en personal navigation devices.

Route 66 is a well know name, belonging to the most famous interstate in the U.S.A. It’s an old American highway starting in Chicago en ending on the beach of the Pacific Ocean in Santa Monica near Los Angeles. Route 66 passes 8 states and is 3.943 km long. It became famous because when the Americans became mobile many of them drove from the east to the west in their big cars. Songs have been written about it, movies have been made.

Navking is founded in 2004 and also has its root in The Netherlands. It is now settled in Turkey as well and its core business is the supply of personal navigation devices and its software in whole Turkey, the Middle-East and the north of Africa. All these regions are guided from Turkey in several languages, but are also locally supported.
